The past few years, everybody started to talked about the miracle that Big Data will achieve. But I felt skeptical about this shiny promise, so I decided to start a project to show the difficulty to grasp the right notion of data without a human analysis.

Data is just a bunch of numbers, nothing appealing. But when we step back and look at external sources of information, like human behavior, we can see that patterns might emerge.

I design this poster is an invitation to be more skeptical about pure data. The optical illusion forces the reader to physically step out from the text to be able to read and understand the message. If the reader stands close to the poster, staring at the numbers, the message remains invisible.

My Role
It was a personal project, started while studying Digital Data Strategy at Hyper Island.
